Strolling or Running
What a great place to take a romantic stroll in the evening or your morning run along this ocean front Wailea, Maui. Take pleasure in the Native Tropical Gardens, the Hawaiian Historical Sites, not to mention the view of the West Maui Mountains, Lanai, Molokini Crater, Kao'olawe.
Walking down Kihei Road is also a superb way to get your exercise while taking in the ocean view. Whether you prefer strolling or running you can begin from any of our vacation condo units at Kamaole Sands, Kihei Akahi or Maui Vista.
Ma'alaea Harbor is also home to Maui's Aquarium, Harbor Shops & Restaurants. Everyone will enjoy the aquarium, the unique shops and splendid restaurants.
Snorkeling or Diving
There are many spots that are great for snorkeling. It is always recommended to bring your snorkeling gear along to whatever beach destination you may choose for the day. For those interested in learning to dive there are several different activity companies that will take you on a dive or if you wish straight out to Molokini Crater. We preferred learning at the beach first and then venturing out to the crater.
Rent a Canoe or Kayak or hire a guide and have a great adventure off shore. The view of Maui is truly amazing from the water.
Cruise on down to La Perouse Bay with a backpack, some drinking water and even a picnic lunch and enjoy a nice hike down the Haopili Trail, 5.5 miles, but make sure that you wear a good pair of walking shoes as the lava can be tough on sandals. You can always cool off along the way by taking a dip in the ocean.
Often times you may find a great craft fair, music concerts and other fun events at this family park. Those who love to skate board can enjoy the skate park, there is also an In-Line Hockey rink, basketball courts, baseball as well as a nice children's play ground located in central Kihei, Maui.
Kihei/Wailea, Maui has 6 golf courses and of these 5 of them are world-class courses. Elleair, Wailea Blue, Wailea Emerald, Wailea Gold, Makena North, Makena South's visitor fee is between $100 to $185.
Two 18 hole miniature golf courses, rock climbing, trampoline, and bumper boat park is fantastic fun and at a reasonable price. It is located a few miles north of Kihei, Maui in Ma'alaea Harbor.
